There are different types of wastewater depending on its origin. The main types of wastewater are:

1 . urban wastewater Domestic wastewater or its mixture with industrial wastewater or stormwater runoff.

2 . Domestic sewage Wastewater from residential and service areas, generated mainly by human metabolism and domestic activities.

3 . industrial wastewater All wastewater discharged from premises used for any commercial or industrial activity, other than domestic wastewater or stormwater runoff.
